Our Bearded Dragons
We bought Spike when he was just 5 months old. From the moment we had him he was a very friendly sociable little guy. He would tap at the glass of his vivarium when he wanted to come out and play and loves to come and explore the rest of our house.
He lived in a small vivarium when we first had him, but it wasn't very long before we invested in a large 5 foot vivarium. This would then become his permanent home rather than being upgraded to a bigger and bigger viv over time. It was also perfect size for housing 2-3 Beardies together.
When Spike was a year old we rehomed a rescue female Beardie called Spot. She was very thin and extremely submisive. We gave her a nice bath and introduced Spike to her on the living room carpet. They got along perfectly! Spike was very proud and loved his new friend. We had Spot for a year and in that time she put on a lot more weight and her confidence grew and grew. Sadly though we woke one morning to find that she had passed away in the night. It was very upsetting as she was doing so well and making such a massive improvement compared to how she was when she first came to us.
So Spike was back to living on his own again...but not for long. With our time fast being consumed with the snakes we decided it would be best to find him a new forever home. He now lives with a new family, a new female companion, and the last we heard he was doing brilliantly and soon to become a Daddy!!
