Surprise!!
We woke up that morning to be greeted with the sight of 5 perfect eggs. Suprisingly, Mum was quite friendly when we lifted her off the eggs and we carefully placed them in a tub which we then placed in the incubator. The eggs should hatch in approximately 52-60 days.

Day 46 - Eggs have started to dimple. As the eggs approach hatching they release enzymes to soften the shell, so the hatchling can come into the world. This causes them to sag as rigidity decreases. They also have consumed the majority of the yolk sac, so again a lot less content.
The extra condensation is the hatchling (s) generating some of their own heat. About 2/3 weeks prior to hatching dimpling should start to occur. We are now very close to expecting their arrivals now as incubation period is usually between 52-60 days. Further dimpling should occur within all the eggs as we get closer to hatching.

Day 54 -We woke up to the site above... a little head peeking out of one of the eggs!! We were only saying last night how nice it would be if they arrived on Easter Day, and as it is Easter Day tomorrow, we should hopefully see a few more little heads! The photo above is not the best but we did not want to disturb them with the flash of the camera. Once they are out a little more we will take some better pictures for you to see.

Day 55 -We have 5 perfect little normal Royal Pythons! They most likely remain in their eggs for a day or two until they have absorbed all of the egg yolk. Really excited to see them come out and looking forward to meeting them properly very soon.
Later that day....
